Alexander Twaddle is a Research Associate in the Medical Device Labs. With expertise in both physical and digital medical device design, he guides interdisciplinary teams through research, ideation, and execution to deliver solutions that meet user needs.

With a BA in Industrial Design from Kendall College of Art and Design (Ferris State University) and a Master’s from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Alexander bridges academia and industry. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at UIC’s School of Design while advancing projects at the Innovation Center, where his career began as a Graduate Researcher in the MAD Lab in 2019. Previously, his roles included being a Design Researcher at Kindle Furniture and a Studio Assistant at Chris Newman Sculpture.

Alexander brings years of design research and user experience expertise to medical device development, crafting compelling narratives that uncover opportunities for transformative products.
