Spencer Melgreen

Visiting Research Associate

Spencer Melgreen is a Visiting Research Associate at the Innovation Center, where he conducts research for university and corporate partners. His contributions span various roles, from team member to project lead, supporting a diverse range of projects. Spencer joined the Innovation Center in 2019 as a student researcher in the CAT Lab, where he also assisted with facilities and prototyping.

He began his academic career in 2017 as a student in the University of Illinois Chicago Industrial Design program, graduating at the top of his class. His excellence in research and design earned him multiple UIC Design School awards, including Best Research 2021.
